Guide 002 / Instagram DMs / With Manychat
Hundreds of messages, four questions. Instagram will ask them for you, and Manychat will send the answers.
Grab it before you start. Step 03 onwards happens inside Manychat.
The DMs are not the problem. The delay is.
Someone asks about your gear the second the reel ends. That’s the only moment they care. Reply three days later and you’re typing to someone who has already moved on.
Instagram has a Frequently asked questions screen buried three menus deep in your DMs. Four buttons, shown to anyone who opens a chat with you for the first time. Most creators never find it.
Four is the cap, so spend them. They appear at the top of the chat before anyone types a word.
Write them the way a person types. What camera do you use gets tapped, Gear information gets ignored. Leave the answer field empty and let Manychat do the talking, so the copy lives in one place.
It sits in the Recommended row. Start there rather than from scratch, the trigger is already wired to incoming DMs and all you fill in is the words.
This is the whole trick. Tapping the button sends the question as a message from them, so paste that exact sentence into the keyword field, question mark included. Manychat matches it and fires this reply.
Set it a day out. This is the bit people skip and it’s the best bit. The follow up sits inside the automation for that one question, so you already know what they came for.
Speed was never the fix. You answered once, and it keeps arriving while they still care.
Turn one question on tonight, the gear one. Count the taps in the morning.
